Witches Gulch is a truly magical and unforgettable experience in the Wisconsin Dells! This incredible slot canyon feels like stepping into another world, with towering sandstone cliffs sculpted by millennia of water erosion. The narrow passages and unique rock formations draped with lush moss create an almost otherworldly atmosphere – it's truly a marvel of nature.
The experience of getting there, typically by taking one of the Dells boat tours (like the Upper Dells Tour), adds to the adventure. Once you disembark, a well-maintained boardwalk guides you through the most stunning parts of the gulch, making it accessible and easy to navigate for all ages and abilities. It's a relatively short walk, but every turn offers a new, breathtaking view. The way the light filters down into the canyon is just incredible, making for fantastic photo opportunities.
While the primary way to access it is via the boat tour, which adds to the charm, it's absolutely worth it. You really feel transported to an enchanted forest. It's a definite highlight of any trip to the Wisconsin Dells and an experience that truly showcases the unique geological beauty...

They held it in trust for you, declaring No one can own The Dells.” “No one can own The Dells” -...

Unfortunately, there is a "paywall", thank you capitalism.
Please owners, read your own plaque. It was meant for everyone to enjoy. This place was not meant to be restricted to twenty minutes and only people with lots of extra money.
The snack bar? Totally legit! $3 water or soda? I guess. Boat tours? For sure. Having that be the only way to access what nature created, generations traversed, and perple before you made accessable? Smooth.
The dells is a family place. This policy is kind of a disgrace. Family of five? Forget about this natural wonder.
But you own that land now,...
