If there were a way to give Beaver Mountain 10 stars, I would! My husband and I put a significant amount of effort researching log home designers. We narrowed it down to 3 companies to interview over the phone; then we met with 2 of them in person. There was no comparison. Beaver Mountain was the most knowledgeable, experienced, and flexible. They provided services we did not realize we needed, but now know we could not have done without. For example, before we worked on the design of the house, they met us at the building to site so they could envision the home we wanted in the place it would be; this enabled them to guide us with respect to slope and views. After the design was done, they met us on site again to interview builders; they knew which questions to ask, and when follow up information was needed. When building began, they were on site with the contractor to ensure that the first layer of logs was placed correctly. They stayed involved with the contractor throughout the build to answer questions, and troubleshoot, if need be. It was clear that Beaver Mountain takes pride in their process as well as their product. I never felt like I was being “sold,” and I always felt like I was being educated. So this happened... we had a door to our deck that had major handle issues... it broke! No Fix! I contacted Beaver Mountain Homes and spoke with Chris Weyer who went into the construction files to find the exact hardware specifications to manage the handle swap-out! From 1985! This saved an amazing amount of time and expense from having to re-drill, or in our case, probably replace the whole door, due to the look and fit of any new hardware.
