I believe strongly in supporting the small farmer, but not at these prices.
I go way out if my way and happily pay more to the small farmer than I would at the big box stores on a regular basis. It's sad to see the slow shrinking of the small farm community so it's awesome that trying to support the small farm has such great benefits.
But this farm stand takes a certain advantage I find distasteful. High prices, poor quality and less than friendly people; I won't be back.
It must be Covids fault... your choices are selected for you so you don't get a look at the poor choices till you're at the register.
I could be wrong but the tomatoes felt like they had been refrigerated and not ripe, the peaches definitely had been in the fridge. YUK. Not why I go to a farm stand.
