After arriving to the greenhouse with my elderly dog, l stopped in to ask the lady at the counter, if it was ok to bring my dog along with me as l shopped. She responded in a very friendly manner, yes. Upon entering the green house, however l was approached and yelled at by an older woman stating dogs were not allowed. I responded ok, while assuring her, that l had asked permission prior. While walking back to my car, the woman continued to berate me. What an awful experience! I feel bad for staff and customers that would have to deal with this person. I would not recommend, not because they don't allow dogs, but for the treatment and the lack of customer service skills. While paying for our stuff, my 5 year old (FIVE!) picked up a tomato and went to smell it. She shouldn’t have, but the reaction from the older blonde lady working was totally over top and inappropriate. She snapped at her and said “don’t do that!” in a very nasty tone and made her cry. I don’t know if she thought she was going to take a bite of it or what, but even if she did, I would’ve given them a dollar for the stupid tomato.
