My husband and I visit Door County every year and always stop off at the markets and orchards. Somehow we just found this place today and we will definitely be coming back every year. Their prices are very affordable! We got a bag of local red potatoes for $3.95, green and red peppers for .50 each, a bag of pears for $4.95, jellies for $5.95, and a beautiful dried bouquet for only $4. Their apples are also cheap - I saw several different types for $5 for a big bag. They also have great pies. They have small ones, medium ones and large ones which is a great find in Door County because most of the markets only have whole pies which don't really work for only my husband and myself. Two the crust is always flaky and perfectly textured and the fruit has just the right amount of sweetness. But in particular their pumpkin pie is beyond phenomenal and this is coming from someone who absolutely loathes the existence of pumpkin pie. Read moreOf all the places in Door County , this is a must to visit. I have taken car loads of people here over the years. People visiting from out of state , from Green Bay and Seymour ,Wisconsin. I have sent tourists to Schartners Farm market on several occasions when asked where to go. This market has fresh made pies, and wonderful produce from sweet ripe cherries , to late fall purple plums and pumpkins. On occasion, it's our only stop.
