Everything was fine up until the last winter I used him. They stored my boat inside and I had it winterized by them for several years in a row. Then early winter I was sent a bill that was $350 higher than the previous years…$885! He said his rates went up, this was after it already was in storage, not when I scheduled to drop it off. He also claimed one of my tires was flat and the rim was bent. I told him it wasn’t when I dropped it off, but he took no responsibility for it. When I picked it up in the spring, it was sitting outside with the cover laying in a ball on the deck. The cover had a few big tears in it. I was informed a heavy snowfall collapsed the cover. Since I dropped it off in September, and it should have been indoors, I was fuming. Had to buy a new custom cover, and of course he couldn’t care less. I found a new marina and they told me a couple similar stories from other customers of his that won’t go back. Good luck with them if...
Read moreThe ONLY place i would ever take any of my outboards/boats. They are honest, hardworking, and knowledgeable. I don't ever write reviews.. But i had to on these guys. The first outboard I ever bought was from these guys and a couple weeks later a spring broke on my outboard.. (it was an old outboard about 300$) I came back to just get the part number... they found the part number... found where to buy it.. called the dealer had them hold it and then gave me the money to buy it. All without me ever having to ask a thing. He said he felt like it was sold that way and that he had needed to make it right regardless of what i thought. Obviously he wasnt in the wrong..this place just has great customer service and i refer everyone i know to this place. I recently took my bass boat there for a work.. They finished quick and it runs like...
Read moreJoe is a great guy and his staff does an amazing job. I worked at a marina in my home town and if I had a boat at home, I would drive it the 350 miles just to have it serviced here. We have a Bayliner 185 with the V6 I/O motor and it has plastic plugs in it that every other shop has either forgotten to put in or they snap the heads off them, 9 Lakes hasn't forgotten one or left a broken in one yet and I know they wont because they take their time. Its a small shop but they get the work done right, and done fast. If they were hiring a detailer for boats I would...
