We spent 5 1/2 hours in here today. There is so much to see if you just take your time. There are leopard frogs, so many kinds of butterflies, Kestrels, Orioles, Goldfinches, and other amazing birds. Thank you GBT for setting aside this fantastic habitat! I wish there were more of these around!

2025.05.11 ~13:35, ~70s_F, our family party of 5 adults and 3 children came for a walk. The trails were in good condition, a few wet spots. Enjoyed the bird singings, and views of the lovely green grassland. Encountered one other person when we were exiting the Grassland.

2025.05.11 ~13:35, ~70s_F, our family party of 5 adults and 3 children came for a walk. The trails were in good condition, a few wet spots. Enjoyed the bird singings, and views of the lovely green grassland. Encountered one other person when we were exiting the Grassland.

First time here passing thru from a Canadian bird trip. We arrived at 3:45 shortly before the sun fell. No other birders were here (not a great sign!) It was FRIGID and very windy. We were looking for SEO but saw nothing of the sort (hence no other bird photographers) Bird count: 2 bluebirds 1 juvenile or female harrier 1 Gray Ghost and I missed the shot (ugh) Countless ravens returning to roost somewhere for the night. There is a nice blind to hang out in out of the wind. The path ends kind of abruptly at the bottom and we were unsure where else in the field...
