Iâm not sure if they are under new management or what, but when Iâve been there in the past it was really good. But now itâs really not, they didnât go around and pull the car trunks down so the entire time watching the movie there were the trunks covering the screen. In the past they used to go around and tie down the trunks of vehicles so that they werenât 100% open. The picture of the burger shown online is nothing like the burger in real life so that is considered false advertisement, the burger was soggy and I feel if youâre paying $6.75 for a cheeseburger they should be having all the toppings to actually make it worth that money but instead all they have are ketchup and mustard packets. The pretzel I think was the worst food of all, they keep the pretzel in the plastic wrapping and warm it up in the wrapping, warming food up in a plastic wrapping like that is toxic, when we opened up the pretzel it was crusty and smelt like straight up plastic, didnât even eat the pretzel and wasnât appetizing at all itâs not worth your $5. And to top it off, the popcorn wasnât even warm, it was cold. Spending $5.50 for a medium bucket of cold popcorn is not cool or good whatsoever. Going to a drive inn movie theater is a cool experience and all but donât waste your money here itâs nothing like it used to be, youâll be better off going to a Marcus theater or finding a...
Read moreOur experience at the Outdoor Field of Scenes Theatre in Freedom, WI was completely unacceptable. My brother, who is autistic and was experiencing a panic attack, was told by staff that we were being âtoo loud.â This happened an hour and a half before the movie even started, while kids nearby were playing volleyball much louder â yet nothing was said to them.
If 30 minutes of my brother struggling with anxiety was âtoo loud,â then imagine what itâs like to care for a neurodivergent child 24/7. Instead of receiving compassion or support, we were met with judgment, ignorance, and discrimination.
I expect to be recompensed for this experience. What happened is not okay, and this business needs to be held accountable. I will be filing complaints with health and disability advocacy organizations across the Fox Cities and Appleton area.
Outdoor Field of Scenes: you owe us an apology, at the very least. Your staff needs training in how to treat autistic individuals and their families with dignity and respect. Until that happens, I will continue to speak out and warn others. I will be contacting the Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW), Autism Society of the Fox Valley, the Legal Action of Wisconsin / Community Justice, the U.S. Department of Justice, WI FACETS, SOAR Fox Cities, Casa...
Read moreWe always enjoyed coming to Field of Scenes but the experience has definitely changed. First, people just aren't decent. If you plan on spending hours at a drive in at least be respectful. Personally, the drive in experience has been ruined by open hatches, people literally camping out around their cars or in the back seats. Drive in means pulling in front first and watching through your front window. Its all fine to make some fun from it but when you block the view of those in front of you, its no longer fun. My family has been to a few drive in theaters and FOS is the only one that allows jacked up trucks and massive SUVs to park in the front rows. Please if you go and you have a raised pick up truck (many dont allow these vehicles in) have some respect and park further back. Normally our experiences are great but we will not be back most likely. While the movies were great, the food was gross (cold burnt pizza with smoke tasting cheese and watered down slushes) and our "neighbors" to our left were rude and lacked any sense of respect at all. Whoever took over the place....it definitely isn't the same. We turned our car around and sat inside with windows...
