I luckily found the Canine Enrichment Center about 2 weeks ago and wish so much that I would have found Heidi sooner. She offers a judgment free, stress free environment where she truly wants to see you and your dog succeed and to make sure your dog is happy and thriving while he or she learns. I started the Confidence Class 2 weeks ago and I will admit I was a little nervous as to what to expect. The class sizes are small so immediately I was put at ease. When my dog came in misbehaving and whining Heidi immediately told us not to feel embarrassed. Just her saying this gave me such a huge relief. I felt relaxed and comfortable and in turn was better able to focus on my dog instead of my own embarrassment over his behaviors.
My dog is just a little over a year old and he is a Shiba Inu. If you donāt know this breed they are not very easy to train without some type of assistance and they have a ton of energy as well as being highly intelligent. We got him during the pandemic so basically he only knew his home and walking outside (where he wasnāt overly confident and he can be dog reactive). Going to Heidiās Confidence Class has taught me SO much and in just 2 weeks I already have a much better behaved dog who I am able to communicate with and because she explains the meaning behind each exercise we learn, I understand why Iām doing what Iām doing. I have used the exercises she has taught us in several āreal lifeā situations with great success. An amazing thing about the Confidence Class also is that a dog like mine who was very defensive if another dog was around now understands that dogs can be his friend and not necessarily a threat and this is all thanks to how Heidi sets us up in class. He is able to see the other dogs and feel comfortable in their presence.
I used to have to think up different activities to take my dog to just to get out some energy when walking just wasnāt enough. One of the activities I would do with him was swimming. His body language every time we went told me he didnāt like it at all after a few times of going. Same thing with group walks with other Shiba owners at the dog park. But now when he knows he is going out to Heidiās facility - he can tell because I pack a bag with all the stuff we need - he is SO excited to get out to the car and is looking out of the window the entire time. His body language tells me that he loves this place and so do I!! Finally I found a place that offers to my dog exactly what he needs!!
Finding Heidi and her Canine Enrichment Center has made the bond I have with my pup so much stronger. I no longer get frustrated at his bad behavior, I just re-direct him with what I have learned this far and the transformation is amazing. I actually get compliments on how well behaved he is - and let me tell you I NEVER saw this day coming. Heidi makes it seem so simple and she explains things so well and makes it so understandable. Due to the small class sizes you feel as though you are getting a private training session every time you go. She is extremely affordable and offers so many different options for enriching your dogās life. She is communicative and if you have any questions or need to reach out to her for any reason she is receptive and responds quickly. I highly recommend the Canine...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe BEST thing you can do for your dog! My dog & I have a been enjoying a weekly, 30 minute, private, agility and play session for 5 years and counting. And It is absolutely the highlight of every week! This place really brings out the joy and happiness in every dog. Watching my pup run through the agility course and take great advantage of all the clever, inspired mental and physical games that Heidi & Victoria plan for dogs, is heartwarming. The amount of pure delight in my dogās eyes, attitude and spirit is abundantly obvious while in this space. An added bonus - Heidi & Victoria are terrific at sharing how some of the activities are simple enough to replicate at home. A happy dog is a healthy dog. All the time we spend there brings my pup & I closer together. Over the years I have seen my dogās confidence grow, trusting in herself and in me. Our furbabies deserve to experience the thrill of the Canine Enrichment Center. I see it as the equivalent of taking a human child to their sporting or theatre activities. I literally see my dog thrive - liver her best life - each time we are here. I am so grateful Canine Enrichment Center exists and for it being the competent and kind hands of Heidi LaCosse. We love it so much, we even hold my dogās birthday party there every year. Always wishing that our furry friendsā time with us could be longer (lifeās too short!), taking my pup to the Canine Enrichment Center comforts me that in the short time we share, my dog is happy and content!! It is the #1 recommended and top āmust experienceā for any pet parent to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwesome experience, highly recommend! The location is fantastic, right off 43. Heidi, the owner, is friendly, knowledgeable and has so much fun. The Canine Enrichment Center is a large clean indoor space for fur babies to explore and get tuckered out! We were given a gift certificate from a friend for each of our dogs to have a 30 minute enrichment session. I absolutely loved this. Our large dog get so excited around other dogs, having the space all to ourselves with no chance of running into another animal makes this experience that much more enjoyable and stress free. She schedules each session with time in between so you will not encounter anyone else. She even has mirrors on the columns outside her front door so you could see if anyone was coming! Our session was fantastic. Heidi took our dog through agility rings and ramps, she has a ball pit for them to search for treats in, and countless other toys to engage them with! Just fantastic, can't wait...
