Jewetts Cheese House — Local services in Town of Hamilton

My mom and I visited Jewett's Cheese House today, and it was such a nice experience! Family owned and operated, lots of wonderful locally made cheeses, jams, coffee, soaps, and more. The 2 brothers who run the shop are the nicest guys, and are a wealth of cheese knowledge. They will be happy to give you samples of any cheeses you'd like to try. I highly recommend tasting all the aged cheddars they have as there is such a difference in flavour and textures depending on the age. Really enlightens you to the fact that you should buy cheese from a cheese store. The price is worth the quality, you won't want to buy some cheese from a box store after shopping here, the people are amazing the quality of the cheese is top notch, very knowledgeable, with many unique varieties and flavors that they would gladly give you a sample. You'll never feel like a customer, you feel like a neighbor or family and end up leaving there with way more than what you planned on if you start taking a samples LOL only place to buy cheese...

Absolutely fantastic store!!! The two guys working the cheese counter were the nicest guys you could ever meet. Incredibly friendly, helpful and willing to give you as many samples of as many cheese you want! The only problem was that every cheese we tried was AMAZING!! We had such a hard time choosing which ones not to buy. The aged cheddars were to die for. The 13 year cheddar was great but the 24 year cheddar was like it was from another dimension.
