I was really hoping to leave a better review here but also want people to know to tread lightly. I called asking if they had a sale running for 4th of July on any couches with a chaise lounge. I was told there were "many" as part of a "tent sale." She also said they were moving tons of inventory out to make room and there were steals on what we wanted because of it. Got there and each time I asked about the tent sale, the conversation was diverted. There was no tent, and only 3 total of what we were after, none being a steal. Proceeded to go and look, found one we loved. Asked about the price and how long it would be good for, had to go home with fabric samples and to measure. She was nice about that, and because of the holiday said the next week was fine to get the samples back, and that she wouldn't usually honor the price that long but would for us. On a hunch my husband said let's try Colder's again in case since so many of their brands are the same, including the one we wanted. We saved over $1100 by going to Colder's, that's a huge difference! They didn't charge extra for different fabric grades like Timlin's either, and we got a a top tier (they had the same fabrics and then some) Turnaround time was also just 3 weeks through Colder's instead of 6-8. I was grateful to learn Colder's only has 4 stores, and they're all in Wisconsin, because it's important to me to support local. I thought there were many more. It's unfortunate that I felt tricked by my experience at Timlin's. Editing to add the woman who helped me said her husband had just done a bunch more markdowns, except nothing we were after as it seemed on the phone. She was sweet and I believe meant well, not her fault I suppose, although I assume she's the owner's wife. I was also told they can't price match stores...
Read moreTimlin's is a nice store, but I am disappointed by one of their rules. I bought a mattress that turned out to be much too firm and wanted to exchange it for the other one I tried when I was in the store (same maker/same price). The mattress was not even in my possession for 24 hours. I had to pay them a second delivery fee of $75 (I live 10 minutes away) to pick up that mattress and bring the new one. So total, I paid $150 for delivery and $40 for haul away of my old mattress, plus tax. I didn't know about the second delivery charge until I called to discuss the exchange. My choice was, pay it or have uncomfortable sleep. Timlin's is a small, local furniture store. I chose to shop locally and am happy to give my business to any small retailer of big ticket items like this. I am disappointed that Timlin's doesn't appreciate this loyalty enough to #1) deliver free locally and #2) charge a second delivery fee on the exchange. It is a weak excuse to say "no free delivery on a close out or mark down item". I am retired and don't have endless amounts of money. I literally live on my social security alone. Sorry to say, I probably won't shop at Timlin's anymore and I cannot recommend them. (I have bought other furniture here...
Read moreI purchased a UC559-M26 Lift Chair on 10/16/2023 and after delivery on 10/19 A short time later I noticed a noisy chair when i used the recliner. I thought it was new and after some use it would go away. But after some time It kept persisting. So I contacted Tilmlin's on the 05/17/2024 and they sent a service rep on 05/20/2024 and said they will need to contact the manufacturer as to what to do. Well I hear nothing so I called them again on 05/31 and they apologized for the delay and sent a service rep pair to perform the service on 06/03 and the came with some WD40 and sprayed the lift mechanism which did not solve the problem and said they would order the part. Well today is 07/09/24 and I have not heard from Timlin's so I called them today and they said the part is delayed but no one gave me the courtesy of a call to inform me of this. I was offered an apology which I accepted but I am disappointed with the negligent follow up...
