While I really like this place, and yes I know that most of the products sold are either very close to expiring or are past expiration (which expiration is an odd thing, best buy dates aren't truly expiration dates but a manufacturer recommended usage date) the majority is non perishable. The cleaning products are excellent in price simply due to a container that doesn't look good on a commercial store's shelf.

The biggest issue I noticed when shopping here recently was in the box mix and flour isle or on aisles where there are foods that are prone to infestation of the pantry moth. There were pantry moths crawling on the shelves behind prone to contamination products, which would indicate that they are present in at least some of the products on the shelves. Those little critters once established in your house are incredibly difficult to eradicate, unfortunately I know this from previous experience and can tell you that it took a little over a year to fully eradicate them with use of pheromone traps, and plenty of scrubbing and the tossing out of any foods that were or were prone to contamination by these invasive pests. Pesticides were out of the question due to the pets in the home

So please if you must purchase any of the products that are prone to contamination by the pantry moth, flour, box mixes, cereal, nuts, etc. please examine the product carefully or better yet, avoid these items as I did.

Highly, highly recommend to any person looking for sweet deals with a side effect of environmental friendliness! The folks here are always really kind and fun to talk to, and they restock the shelves often, even with customers around. Even after years of frequenting here, the prices still amaze me. I'm saying up to ~90% off or more just because the package is dented or the label is upside down. If you don't mind minor exterior damages, you could probably get almost all of your pantry items for ridiculously low prices. Check it out a couple times, because the inventory changes- anything from baby food to batteries, taco shells to sauces, pet supplies to makeup- I cannot recommend it enough, this store gives you the chance to use perfectly good items for a fraction of what it would on corporate shelves. This place is great!! The people are absolutely wonderful. I found a dog food there that was the only one my dog would eat as a fussy senior. I bought as much of it as I could, and they were kind enough to hang onto the rest until I could pick it up! Above and beyond customer service!
