At every step of the way, Lori from The Sands took such good care of us and made our wedding day absolutely PERFECT. I first contacted The Sands in desperate need of a date since we decided last minute to make our Dec 2022 wedding a fall 2021 wedding due to a family member’s illness. A opening was available and within a short 4 months, Lori made the process effortless. She walked through the planning process with me, and checked in every step of the way. Even with the inevitable week-of hiccups, every thing was handled so well and smoothed over to ease my stress. The day of went over perfectly. From beginning to end, everything was taken care of and someone was assisting us with problems. I had a bridal assistant that stayed with me all night to help with anything - absolutely worth it. I gotta say - the staff suggested my new husband and I skip cocktail hour and stay in the bridal suite to re set and have some time to ourselves before the night. Honestly BEST advice ever and I’m so glad we listened. They brought a platter of our cocktail food to us and let us have a moment to just digest and be alone (first and only time during the day) and I’m so happy they set that up for us. The staff was so accommodating and kind, literally everyone who worked was nice and helpful all night. All my guests RAVED about the food for months, and we got so many compliments on the venue overall. Also, go with the after party! It’s like having a bar to yourself instead of bar hopping all over the west end. They had bar food, amazing dj, along with the open bar and it was exactly how we wanted to end the night. If you’re on the fence about it - I say go for it. It’s a treat. Truthfully, I cannot thank Lori enough - she’s truly the best and will ensure your day is amazing. From the moment we set foot in the Sands to tour the venue, we knew they were the best place because of how organized and on top of things Lori (the event coordinator) was. Throughout the whole planning process, Lori was so communicative, organized and just an amazing energy to work with! It felt like you were working with a family member who just wanted you to have the best day ever, and we did just that! I fully trusted her to make sure everything went smoothly and it could not have been better. The service is unreal. I felt like a literal princess all night because my bridal attendant took care of my EVERY need. She was beyond amazing and just a great person to have with you on your wedding day. Our parents were made to feel like royalty too! And all of our guests had incredible service at their tables as well. The food ALL night was DELICIOUS. So many of our guests reached out about the food, service and party at the Sands. It’s a great feeling to know not just you, but that your guests also had a great experience! The Sands truly knows how to throw a party and thinks of every single detail to make sure you and your guests have an amazing night. It’s also a beautiful location right on the beach! We sat on the beach together and watched the sunset before our cocktail hour and it was amazing. We had the BEST time at our wedding because of The Sands. Also highly recommend to use the DJ that comes with the package, they were amazing! Every single member on staff truly helped to make our wedding night what it was. I could really go on and on. I have thought long and hard about how to properly express what a phenomenal job Lori did at planning and executing our May 26th 2023rd wedding. Not only that, but she was also a friend and confidant throughout a potentially stressful time. She made it feel like I was her daughter getting married. I can 100% say the stress-free experience was due to Lori and the rest of the Sand's team. I chose the full wedding planning package, and I am thrilled I did. Lori made sure I had small, manageable checklists each week for me/us to execute and made sure we were budget conscious the whole way through. The New York wedding scene is massive, and Lori made choosing my vendors so easy! Between those connections and the overall management skill of an event our size, Lori is truly priceless! On the day of our event, not one thing went array. Every. Single. Thing. was handled and planned to a tee. We were so calm, and I had so much comfort knowing Lori was in charge during our special day. Our dream wedding went off without a hitch! Lori first and foremost, but also the rest of the Sand's team and my Bridal Attendant deserve the most raving review. If you are thinking about getting married here, don’t wait another minute.
