I usually have to have my blood drawn once a month. My veins are particular so finding a good phlebotomist can be challenging. I found a wonderful phlebotomist here and would go once a month to have my blood drawn by her by the name of Deborah. This month I went in to have my blood drawn to find out that she was put on floating detail. When I asked any questions about if she was coming back or where she was I got a rude reply I was made to feel like I was bothering the receptionist. My blood must be taken at approximately the same time that I take my meds for a proper measurement of my Tacro. I did not appreciate the way I was spoken to nor was I very happy with being dismissed without being able to explain my situation. This was the best place for me to go as it is close to my house and I had someone able to poke me for my blood without causing me to bleed. I am not only very disappointed in this facility now that it has had all the employees replace but I'm also very disappointed with the management of the UR medicine labs. You should take into account the patients needs not just training the untrainable at good locations. Customer service matters and helping individuals by reassuring them goes a long way. Strong Memorial Hospital and it's affiliative drop the ball on this one. If I could give you a negative number I would. Like I said this used to be warm and inviting establishment to go to and after walking in for 5 minutes I felt a cold Chill from interacting with these people. Tolerance and understanding as well as good customer service will go a long way for your reputation to improve. I know there is a way to work around this I am mobile and go anywhere where I have to to get proper service. Now I have to find a new location which is a major...
Read moreI went to this lab today with my almost 2 year old i told the receptionist I wanted to have someone who has experience cause I dont want my baby poked a lot. So, I waited and the lady calls me back she was a nice lady.. but as she poked my daughter I asked her some questions and she said she only has had 7 months of experience...... like girl! she didnt get her vein i asked her how many times they can poke someone she said two times then we need to call someone else. I said okay well if if you poke her again and you dont get it im leaving.. my daughter isn't a pin cushion. She called someone else she wasn't feeling confident. The second lady came i didnt ask questions. She poked her and She didnt get her. The third lady came she poked her didnt get her. The receptionist came she poked her and got her. I asked the receptionist how many years have you been doing this? She said 5.... that, pushed. Me. Over. The. Edge. Im done.. im mad. Im livid.. my poor almost 2 yr old daughter got jabbed 4 times today when it could have been one or two instead. Like no! I told them no fishing think they listened? Nope. I mean idk what ya'll call fishing but if that needle is in her arm you shouldn't be swaying it around. 😞 im not happy at all. And I would blast their names if I knew them but its like they do as they want.. not what you ask. And its rude. Don't come at me for literature im not trying. You...
Read moreI've been to this lab several times in the past year because it's convenient to my work location. One of the phlebotomists was so rough with me and jabbed my arm, leaving bruises. At least I didn't have a long wait time I guess? The second time I went, I had a much smoother experience and the phlebotomist was really good. I just went again today for a timed test. I have never seen the waiting area so busy, and it was completely disorganized. I had been signed in and waiting for over 20 minutes when I approached the desk and had to wait again to even be acknowledged. The lady asked me to sign in. I told her I had, 20 minutes ago, and I was there for a timed test that was already late. She tells me "oh you're supposed to tell us." Really? First of all, your little sign-in operation does not ask what you're there for because everything is supposed to be so efficient now and done electronically. Second, you literally have all my information right in front of you saying why I'm there. No apologies, no nothing, just "well it might be too late now." Really? I just chugged a vat of nasty sugar water and have been waiting now for 25 minutes on a 1 hour test for you to say "it might be too late"? So, so rude. Even if it's convenient location-wise, I will not be returning to this site. Please get yourselves...
