Lena the Lizard Lady definitely does AMAZE! She is great with children and adults wanting to learn and experience the beautiful world of reptiles. She is kind and supportive. My son was very eager to get a new reptile friend. Lena listened to what he wanted and prepared us for what we would be committing to with our adoption of a baby crested gecko. Lena has patiently answered question after question from both of us over the last couple of years. She helped us transition to a living habitat after explaining the benefits. She has an amazing assortment of replies and when she visits school or shows at parties the kids cannot stop talking about how cool it was! We highly recommend Lena the Lizard Lady. She is very compassionate about and knowledgeable of her exotic pets. She also cares about the community and the people in it. Recently she did a coloring contest open to all children under the age of 18. She had the community vote on their favorites. Our daughter won 1st place and her very own leopard gecko with his home and everything included. Our son won 3rd place and she made him up an amazing reptile themed goodie bag. We could tell that she really enjoyed doing the coloring contest and she put a lot of thought and care into the contest and the prizes. We have two very happy children and everyone had fun coloring. In all our years as a community center, we had the largest and most excited turnout for Lena's visit that we can recall. The kids (and parents) were absolutely mesmerized and loved the event. The kids learned a lot and are still talking about it. Lena and her 3-4 person crew were very kind to the kids. They were great with sharing their knowledgeable about the animals. Lena did a very professional job of managing the large crowds -moving them along without making them feel hurried. And she thoughtfully kept the people in line happy by bringing her sloth to them as they waited. It was really a remarkable experience worth every penny!
