Valley Inn — Local services in Town of Holland

The food was decent ! Me and my pregnant wife came in for dinner . There was three large groups already there . And another couple . We ordered an appetizer. If I’m being honest wing night is usually packed and way more busy. Yes it was a Friday but after a hour and a half If not more from start to finish. All for a single order of wings and a grilled chicken rap seemed very excessive . We were annoyed because yes there is first come first serve but after saying something to the waitress. Someone comes from out of the kitchen with a paper stating she had heard we were not happy with the service. Saying the entire order was times and it only was 30 minutes . This is what pushed me over the edge she came out in front of everyone with her piece of paper kinda being passive aggressive and thinking her approach was out of respect of the customer when it felt rude and intentional to embarrass us in front of other customers. We had booked The Valley Catering back in March for our wedding in October, we finally got a price sheet of everything finalized, we paid our deposit of $500 to book our date & it only showed $250 for a deposit we were told if we paid in cash that we wouldn’t have to pay sales tax so that’s what we did, well when I confronted them about the deposit amount they then proceeded to tell me they would have to pull the tapes, last week they then told me they didn’t find it on the tapes and would then take our word for it because there was no receipt involved.. after that ordeal we decided we didn’t want to proceed catering with them and found someone else, I then messaged her and asked for our deposit back she gave us $250 back🙄 I’m thankful we atleast got something back, but just wanted to let anyone else know if you go through these guys for catering MAKE SURE YOU...

From the outside the place looks nothing special. Inside looks just like any other small local bar. Kinda dark, small & plain. The food on the other hand is great. Anything I ever ordered there has been delicious. The lunch menu specials change weekly along with a featured wing flavor. Homemade soups daily,(serving size is XL) Wings are big & crispy.Thursday night is burger night. Large juicy burgers I would rate the best in area. Great fish on Fridays. Battered,breaded & baked.
