Unfortunately not yet restored, but this beautiful and simple ranch was where the late great John Coltrane composed and practiced for the last few years of his short, stellar life. He did so in the room above the garage. His wife Alice also lived and worked in this abode ahead of and during her magnificent high period across the late 1960s and 1970s that would feature exceptional music both solo and with Pharoah Sanders, often recorded in the home studio they constructed in the basement. Restoration has recently begun with a new gate across the driveway that heretofore could be crossed, so I am excited especially since this has been delayed by decades.
