Meadow View Market — Local services in Town of Ira

Meadow View Market is a really great place to shop.

The store is small and seems to be owned and operated by a small local family. Their store is small but the owners keep it stocked with all the basic you will find in a large grocery store. Plus they have a large selection of Amish made and organic goods. It is also the only store in America where I have ever found Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. MMMM, MMMMM, MMMMMM.

Given the stores size and the current inflationary economic climate I was really surprised they manage to keep their prices competitive with larger stores such as Tops. In fact, in some areas they out do the larger stores. For example a 12" sub is around $10.00 at the local Tops in Hannibal but their 12" sub is only $7.00.

Still, even more remarkable, is the family its self. They are some the friendliest people I have ever met. The owners are friendly. Their staff is friendly. Heck, even their customers are friendly.

I don't normally give five stars but Meadow View Market has earned it in my opinion.

I regret all the times I drove by Meadow View Market and didn’t stop in! I finally stopped to see what they had to offer, and now they are a must-go-to stop! It’s a small, family run, country store that has more to offer than one would think. I can find items there that I don’t see anywhere else. The deli has a nice selection of meats and cheeses. I won’t buy bacon anywhere else now. Their subs are great too. If you are a baker...then this is your store to explore! I have never seen such a wide selection of flours, sugars, and other baking ingredients than what they have here. What’s nice too, is that you can also buy in bulk! They have a huge walk-in cooler where they have dairy, meat, fresh local and organic eggs, pies, fruits, vegetables, and various beverages available.

Shopping local is important to me. I’d rather spend my money supporting local farms and businesses than...

I love this little store. It is one of the few places you can buy Hudson Farm Eggs produced locally in Elbridge NY & I grew up eating them! They also have John F. Martin & Sons products like their Cream Cheese which is as good as the other brand name top of the line Cheese Product and Walnut Creek Products like the Butter I buy which is excellent. You have to stop in & check it out & don't forget to mention WILD BILL sent ya for a certain NO Discount but they will get a kick out of it &...
