Ash Electric — Local services in Town of Italy

I recently hired Luke Ash a local electrician, to complete a number of electrical projects at our home in Cohocton NY. I had asked around town and he was highly recommended. Our home was built in the 1950's and had no electrical updates since that time. He spent days at our home installing new wiring, breaker boxes, plugs and new light fixtures. He was professional and extremely serious about his work. He was very patient with our many changes throughout the process. He worked many weekends and always showed up on time. The final stages of our project required that NYSEG provide us with entirely new outside service. The new meter box was also installed by Luke. The NYSEG employee connecting our service asked me who had done all the work on our home. I advised him that Luke Ash had. He responded that he had worked with Luke, before and his work was excellent. It certainly is. We have many outdoor electrical projects planned for 2023. Squirrels chewed 10 feet of insulation off the main wire coming down from the utility pole to the meter due to mismatched conduit diameters. Luke worked with RG&E to disconnect the service, then he replaced the very large main service wires (200 amps each) from the meter to to top of utility pole (125ft) by pulling it through the existing underground conduit and up through new conduit that he installed on the pole. The new pole conduit is one that the squirrels wouldn't be able to chew into. Quality job, done on time when promised, and with excellent communication. Additionally we where only without power for a few hours. He has a good relationship with RG&E which always helps with coordinating with them. Hired Luke to fix some wiring messes at our Honeoye Lake place. He was on time (becoming more rare with many contractors), very professional, very fair in cost and, most importantly, did an excellent job!

He doesn't waste time, gets to the job and gets it done! He left the home neat and clean, very clean electrical work. He installed several receptacles and new breakers in box. He knows safe wiring methods and helped up plan his wire runs.
