The new Voigt downtown is incredible. It's amazing how they renovated this charm downtown into their shop and The Venue. It's a really cool place. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have just about everything you'd need from actual instruments and accessories to lessons and repairs. I've brought my instrument here for a great price 4 or so years ago and have gotten many repairs done here and my instrument is still going great. Theres so much good about this place. They have so much stuff for sale on the floor, you can really test out and look at a lot. This has been my go-to music store since about 2005. The staff are great, knowledgeable, helpful, personal. The prices are good, I've bought like 8 guitars here without paying the full retail price. I've been able to try things out before buying, they don't pressure me into buying anything. I've brought in instruments for repair and if they don't have the ability to do what you need, they have connections and will refer you to somebody who can do it. They host open jams, have a community room, and are very involved in the community, just one example (of many) providing sound for the Janesville police department's National Night Out. My son started 5th grade playing the French horn. We went into Voigt and were greeted with friendly and knowledgeable staff that helped us get all the things we needed. He then tried out for percussion and needed the proper equipment for practicing at home. We once again turned to Voigt and had the same great experience. He is now entering 6th grade and needed a drum set. We were able to put the French horn on consignment and get a drum set all at Voigt.
