Strykersville Tire Inc. — Local services in Town of Java

In regards to the previous review, Ms. Sherman was well aware of our closing time on Saturday, which is 1:00pm. One hour longer then most places. We recieved her call at 12:40pm when she stated she was in cowlesville, at least 20 minutes away from us. She seemed irritated from the beginning. When asked who we're speaking to she refused to answer, so we moved on to try and get the condition of the tire in question. When asked if the tire went flat while in use to determine if the tire had been dragged along flat.we had to ask several times before she admitted it went flat while sitting a long time in the weeds. She resisted answering. She did not want to tell us. That is when we told her we weren't trying to give her a hard time, We were prepared to make arrangements to have her bring it in to be repaired, but she hung up before we got the chance. Maybe it wasn't such an emergency after all? We felt as if were forced into a no win situation, either we wait and work an extra hour or 2 on Saturday afternoon after we've allready worked 6 days or get a bad review. We feel even if we just flat out Said no we still would have gotten this bad review. Our policy is all emergency repairs must be inside our building at least 1/2 hour before...

Our family never leaves reviews however our treatment over the phone was absolutley unprofessional and uncalled for and we felt it necessary to express this. We have used Strykerville Tire for years to mount tires which we have purchased both from Al as well as online at a fair price. As we went to schedule an appointment to have a set of tires we owned put on one of our vehicles , Al spoke to both my husband and myself in an unprofessional and degrading manner. He has elected to only put tires on vehicles which have been purchased from him which is totally understandable and should this have simply been stated as the case we would have walked away in complete understanding however he tore us up one side and down the other verbally for not buying tires from him. Very sad and unfortunate. In a matter of minutes my husband called Utz tire and had an appointment within 2 minutes. Very unfortunate.

The policy isnt the issue it's the treatment...

I called this shop to inquire if they were able to put a tube into a tire for me for a piece of hay equipment on the day I needed it. I called a half an hour before their closing time to ask if it was possible. Instead of just saying no or no thank you, the owner got on the phone and rudely questioned me about why I was making it his problem. I had simply asked if it was something they could do. I was not making it his problem I was just asking before I drove there. He even stated "I'm not trying to give you a hard time" but he was, when I had only asked if they could do it. He asked over and over when the tire went flat and spoke down to me. I was not pushy or rude, there was no reason for this man to be so incredibly rude instead of simply saying no we can't do that before we close. Gone are the days of going above and beyond for customers or simply just doing the minimum. A simple no would have been a nice way to...
