Do NOT buy the extended coverage! ProtectAll is a garbage company of scammers and will not cover the warranty.
First off I want to make it clear that Ashley Home Store is a good place and we are happy with our purchase from them. We were looking for a particular sort of recliner for my dad who was in his 90s. My wife and I had traveled as far as Erie to several stores but found nothing with a reasonable price and quality. Once we pared down the possibilities we took dad to the store to let him pick out the recliner he felt most comfortable in. The sales staff were all great. The price was better than any other furniture store and the chair quality has been good.
Now for the other part. I paid the extra money for the coverage on the chair because dad, being in his 90s was messy at times and I anticipated that the chair might need a good cleaning. When dad was moved into a higher level of care and couldn't use the chair anymore I had to move the chair to another place. I called to have the chair cleaned.
The extended warranty coverage is WORTHLESS. The company that handles the warranty played games for weeks before finally telling me that there is NOBODY in the Jamestown area that will work on the chair and the nearest service is from the Buffalo area and they will not come to our area because it is outside of their service map. There is no other company.
When I argued with them about their liability they demanded photos of the chair. They then claimed that because the chair was moved by non-professional means (me) that I had voided the warranty.
I have said for years that extended warranties are not worth the paper they are written on.
Yes, I definitely would recommend Ashley Home for furniture but don't expect any help if you need any warranty coverage. Ashley will send you to the warranty company, ProtectAll, who will then waste weeks or months of your time denying and harassing you and in the end...
Read moreI bought my sectional from here, and my husband and I prefer to support a local business rather than give our money to a big box store. I went today to get a sleeper sofa for the family room, and I went in this time without my husband. The salesman who greeted me was Keith Banes, I stated that I was looking for a sleeper sofa, showed him which one I was interested in, and he informed me that the couch was $599. I then informed him that the price online says $559, he then says to me yeah if you want to shop online and not waste a salesman time then it is that price. The entire time I was there he acted like It was a annoyance that I was there, and he had to wait on me. Once I ordered the couch I wanted, and paid for it his tune changed. I won't be buying from your store again. Paying, loyal customers should not be made to feeel like they are a nuisance to your salesman! After I pick up my couch, I will not be purchasing the rest of my furniture for my new home. Your salesman should be friendly, polite, and go out of their way to help a cutomer, not make them feel like they did something wrong by walking into your store looking to purchase a new...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend bought a couch from this store back in august with the understanding that our furniture would be here in the beginning of September . Our order has now been pushed back again and we’ve been told a different date 4 times now and that they have no control over the situation because of COVID. Manager is very rude and not interested in doing anything to make the situation right. If you’re not sure when the furniture will be here don’t keep telling us dates you can’t gaurantee. We wouldn’t have paid 1000$ for a couch that it feels like we may...
