Hi this is Bill Ballenberger. My experience with the team at Steiner's in Valatie has always been amazing. They are all knowledgeable in what they do, very friendly and willing to help . Over the years I have bought two bikes, a Gravel Bike and a Fat tire bike from Steiner's in Valatie. Garrick Dardani is a master at fitting riders to their bike. He has fitted me on three bikes, most recently a resurrected 22 year old steel road bike, which Garrick and Jay the mechanic worked on and on each I feel like I can ride forever. Garrick also does repairs on bikes. Jay has repaired some of my most troublesome bike problems, quickly and effectively. Dennis is a wonderful salesman who sold my wife her bike. Very knowledgeable, he took the time to match a bike to my wife's needs. Sheri and I were talking about a bike in the shop and I could tell that like the other's you can count on her to give you accurate information and steer you to the right bike for you. There is another member of the team that I have done business with whose name at this moment I cannot recall and he like the other's is very knowledgeable and always willing to help. I think Steiner's in Valatie is the best bike shop in the area because of these people. I have known them for many years now and have never been dissatisfied. Took my wife's bike in to the shop in Valatie two weeks ago for a tune-up. She hadn't ridden it in about 6 years. I went for the $129 option and picked it up the next day. I was shocked at how great it looked. Amazing work. They turned it around in less than 24 hours and my wife has been riding it nonstop. She loves it!

And a couple of days later I took in my 1996 Cannondale mountain bike and went for the same option on the tune-up. I had been riding it a bit in the last few weeks but not that much in the last few years so it was time. Went in at around 10:30am and they had it ready middle of the afternoon. When I went in to get it I was blown away at how my 26 year old bike now looked and felt new again. I then asked them to put on a new seat and a new wireless odometer. About an hour later, I rode it home. I've now put 82 miles on the bike in one week.

And next up is my 45 year old Raleigh. My baby. Not sure what these guys will be able to do with her but I am willing to give it a try because they do absolutely fabulous work. The whole operation there is super professional right down to the emails and text messages they send you as soon as your bike is ready.

We are awfully lucky to have these guys in the neighborhood. They basically have everything you need in the world of bikes and my only regret it that I don't need a new one because what they have in their showroom made me drool when I brought the bikes in for...

Ski or Bike, color me impressed.

First let's go with skiing, need a boot fitter, I've been to a few, including some well known places in the NE. And while the well known ones deserve their place and I have had satisfactory results, , my place for ski boots will be their Valatie location. Not only the type of boot fitter who takes measurements and does adjustments, Knows the boots in relating to the skiing style one presents, but knows what boots will fit by looking at your feet, and will admit when they don't have what you need, or caution you if they don't think it is right, this really helps. I have recommend them over others and they also have decent sales too.

For biking I had great experience at both their Hudson and Valatie locations. They have your back, they were able to warranty a substandard Trek brake set (the bike (actually 2 of them) manufactured during pandemic, so parts were sparse and substitutions were made by the manufacture to keep production going but in this case with lower quality parts). They not only were able to get me the proper brake set I should have gotten from a bike I bought from them, but were also able to do that for my wife, who didn't get her bike from them.

It is that level of having the customers back that have me coming back, and wanting to go there as I know they know...
