Jacobson's Ace Hardware — Local services in Town of Lafayette

Really cool place. We came in on 10/8/24 around 5pm to get some catfish suckers after looking all over town, who knew it would be the closest bait shop to us!? We love supporting small local businesses! Go ACE! There was an extremely helpful worker there. I believe her name was Missy. Although, I could be wrong… but the blonde girl working by herself. She knew where everything was in the store— she even let us scoop our own fish (how fun!!!) When we went to go checkout, the bait bag was so heavy and baby’s arm was so tired, that we were able to set it on the counter and watch the fish go and boy were they feisty! The bait bag got the counter wet but she didn’t seem to mind!

Disappointed many times. Once again told they don't stock a simple hardware item. Staff does not know what they stock unless they are looking at a computer screen. Guess not all Ace's are the same.

May 2022 update. I'm disappointed in myself every time I stop there. They never have standard hardware I need and what they do have is overpriced. I'm much better off driving right past their front door and heading into lake Hallie to shop and Farm and Fleet. I know this is a harsh review but enough is enough. Take hardware off the sign and replace it with Ace...

Placed a pickup order for a hedge trimmer through the Ace app. Got a notice the order was cancelled a few minutes later. No explanation. Figuring it could be due to an error on my part I reordered the tool, got another confirmation and credit card charge, then the next afternoon I get another cancellation, again with no explanation. Never had this happen with the Ace I use in Montana, they always communicated directly with me if there were any issues....
