Public Storage — Local services in Town of Lancaster

I am very excited to write this review! :) How many of us can actually say that about writing a review for a company or service provided? Not many, but I do have the privilege to tell the world what a positive experience I had with Jacob, the Property Manager, at the Public Storage facility in Lancaster, NY. I hadn't even finished my conversation with the delightful woman at the Public Storage 800 number I found on the website, when a call came through from Jacob at the local storage facility. I laughed at how quickly things got rolling. An hour later, I met up with Jacob who greeted me with a warm smile and a sincere handshake. His friendliness, his professionalism, his patience, his kindness and his real concern for my customer satisfaction were off the charts. However, it was his attention to detail, his advice for my particular situation, and his genuine concern for helping me, the person, not just me, the customer, that will forever leave an impact upon me. He went above and beyond his job requirements in listening to my situation which was causing me to go through a stressful move. He guided and advised me to purchase some needed items for my move and for my items to be stored. He also provided me with the name of a local moving company who had moved his own mother. He even gave me sage advice in helping me through a sticky living situation. He did this with grace, with thoughtfulness, with sincerity and with no expectations for me to return the favor. One poignant thing that he said was that people who utilize a storage facility are not always doing so because they want want to do so, but rather they have to do so. With his 12 years of experience, his level of empathy and sensitivity to his customers, their situations, and their needs were extremely evident. What normally takes 10-15 minutes to complete in terms of the rental agreement, keys to the storage facility, etc. - ended up taking close to an hour of his time - because he took the time to listen and advise. He didn't have to do that, but he did it anyway. He even returned a call I made to him later with another storage question, and he spent an additional 20 minutes on the phone with me after the facility was closed giving me more advice. I cannot boast enough about this gentleman, his kindness and the stellar customer service he provided me. If anyone in WNY needs to utilize a storage facility, then please go no further than the Public Storage facility in Lancaster, NY. Jacob will take care of you. He's made a friend for life! And, yes, he will be getting a plate of freshly baked cookies from me as soon as I am settled. Thank you, Jacob, for everything. I was in need of a "temporary" place to keep a house full of belongings while I searched for the right home to buy. I needed a climate controlled unit to accommodate my first class furniture. I stopped by the facility to check out the place and Mark was helpful even though there was nothing available in the coming 2 weeks and I needed a place ASAP. About a week before I had to be out of the place I was moving out of a perfect unit became available. A 10' x 20' climate controlled unit 2nd unit from the door. Perfect placement. I don't know if the stars were aligned right for me but I was thrilled to have such great luck.

Upon move-in, Jacob was instrumental in ensuring my needs were met and clearly explained everything to me from expectations on my end to how they can provide service for me. I have moved quite a bit in my life in many states and have needed the use of storage facilities many times. Jacob has far surpassed expectations and it is obvious he is great at what he does. I highly recommend this facility so take a minute to enjoy what great customer service is.

By the way, my furniture was in the same mint condition after a hot summer when I moved the furniture in and a brutal winter to follow. I moved out 10 months later so almost a full year cycle of climate to experience and the facility protected my furniture as well as a home would. Bravo guys....

Sarina is the G.O.A.T property manager here by far. She always greets you wearing a smile and always very pleasant. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help out with whatever I need. Bathroom access, account/ unit questions, gate issues, snow shoveling, etcetera are always handled professionally and quickly with a smile. When the heating units were not switched from A/C to heat for the winter. She was the 2nd property manager I had to address about the issue. The first guy said he had already done it, but clearly, it was never done. I have multiple inside units in different buildings. I checked them all. When I came in the next day, the inside, climate controlled units were at 40 degrees. About 15 degrees colder than the day before. I let her know. She immediately came out to all the units and made sure they all got switched over from a/c to heat and discovered a few of the units would not turn on. The 1 directly in front of 1 of my unit was 1 of them. She had maintenance out the very next day to correct the issue. Thank you so much, Sarina.
