Dollar General — Local services in Town of Lima

This Dollar General was horrible. Then, a new manager was appointed and looked like it was looking up. Employees seemed more attentive, and store conditions improved. Now it's back to the same ol' horrible store as before. Cluttered, dirty, and service is nil. I just stood over there pretty loudly saying, "Does anyone want my money?" Does anyone work here. A few times with pauses for a response. None was to be had. Finally, after over 5 minutes waiting at the counter. From the office appeard an employee to cash me out. Not even so much as a word. No, sorry about the wait, etc...... Just a here you go. I stopped going here for over a year before. Think I will again. Is it convenient if we need something quick. Not really when you have to wade through the isles and then stand and almost beg someone to do their job and cash you out. Just the time I wasted, I could have hit a nearby community. The drive isn't that far. So I guess in conclusion. Once again, I will say goodbye to this Dollar General. It is ok, tho we are only one customer who maybe would spend $50 to $100 in a place like that weekly. So they will survive the loss of me and my family. The store was a mess. Product on the floor in already narrow aisles, violating safety standards, allowing potential for tripping and falling, especially for youth or seniors. Only one associate on duty at the register, while other was what appeared to be on break. Carts in aisles with product that needed to be placed on shelves. The store looked very messy and like more help was needed to maintain it in a presentable fashion. The staff is friendly to me 9 times out of 10. The other 1 time, they're not rude but just seem tired. Staff is always helpful when I can't find something. One time I was just about to get in line (only a handful of items) and the person ahead of me was checking out, with no one else in store. There was one other employee there at the time who left their cleaning station to cash me out at a different register to save me a few extra seconds. Very nice of them, I could have waited, but it was refreshing to see that even at a dollar sore, I can receive 5 star service. That's why I give...
