Hannaford — Local services in Town of Livingston

Hannaford in Livingston is good although lately they've been hit and miss. By that I mean when you spend $15.00- $20.00+ on a steak sometimes it's a good cut and sometimes it is not. Same with their produce. They are a little expensive and really should be more consistent with their products. I recently bought their vegetable sushi, got it home and it was terrible. It was dry and appeared to old. I checked the date and surexenough it had expired. I didn't think I had to check the date while in the store because shelf life of the products they carry is their responsibility. Employees should be removing items from the shelves that have expired. Its so nice and clean very friendly environment, thanks to all those staff and less crowded than Kingston or red hooks I love it also recently price wise also great forget about Shoprite even Walmart beat some price. Store is convenient for when one forgets to buy an item elsewhere. Their prices are high and their selection limited due to small size of store.

Cashier customer service is dreadful !!! Cashiers are rude, especially toward the elderly.

Cashiers look poorly groomed, wear unlaundered store brand polo shirts and do not stay home when sick.

Recently we had a cashier with a very heavy cold and a lot of tissues and she kept wiping her nose with and without the tissues and then touching our food.

We opted to "change our minds" on the fresh fruits and veggies as we were really grossed out by her lack of hygiene.

She should have stayed home or washed her hands.
