My first experience at Transit Drive-In Theater went down better than expected. Haven’t been to the drive in since I was young and went to the Grandview in Angola. My wife and I bought tickets online because we heard it was the best way to ensure we had a spot for the screen. My wife said the process online was quick and seamless. Upon arrival at 8pm there was a small line to enter and they have the process down to a science. As long as you follow direction well you will have no problem finding your way to your screen. We parked the truck and set up shop. We went into the starlite to use the bathroom and get snacks. The bathrooms when I went in weren’t all that clean, but way better than a porta john. Can’t knock them too much as staffing I’m sure is limited and they may have not had a body to wipe it all down before opening. At the snack stand we ordered two jumbo soft pretzels with cheese, a root beer, and three candy boxes. The total was $28 which I chalked up as a win considering the regal would be double that. We went back to the truck and noticed both soft pretzels were in fact not soft, the cheese helped us eat it though. For the second show we got a large popcorn and a hotdog. The hotdog was grilled to perfection and hit the spot, the popcorn could’ve been warmer and covered with more liquid gold. Other than that everything was perfect and the staff that was there couldn’t have been nicer. Both movies were amazing and didn’t skip once. Before the second movie I found out you could rent portable radios for $3 at the snack counter, all they ask for is your license to ensure the radio gets returned at the end of the night. My wife and I had a wonderful evening and we are already talking about going back again. Highly recommend checking it out. *one thing that left us disappointed… the amount of trash everyone left behind in their spot. As if staffing isn’t already tight the few employees they did have working, had to come out and clean up after some guests. Popcorn bins, beer and pop cans, and cardboard trays flying all around. If you’re going to attend bring a garbage bag along or walk your trash to the nearest bin. It’s not that hard to clean up after yourself.*

We visited the drive-in for the first time in a long time this June. We had an awesome time. First off: DO NOT skip the snack bar. Their offerings are top notch and it’s an important way for them to make money as they earn very little revenue on the actual movie. Our favorite new item were the Funnel Fries, which are like mini-strips of fried dough, reminiscent of the Erie County Fair, but so much easier to eat! Their popcorn, nachos, onion rings, fries and pretzels are also really great and totally nostalgic. I really appreciated how dedicated the staff members were in making sure that people parked appropriately to leave enough room for all guests, and also patrolled when the movie started to ensure all cars had headlights, taillights and dome lights off so that all patrons could enjoy the movie. The sound quality from their radio frequency was crystal clear. And you can’t beat the sunset view! Highly recommend this as a date night activity or a family summer time activity. A must visit if you are coming to the Buffalo Niagara region in the summer!

It's taken me quite some time to write this review. The entire ordeal has been quite traumatic, and years later I can't seem to shake this terrible evening. It was a packed Saturday night at the Transit drive-In movie theater, the ticket line was backed up way into the road. Me and my girlfriends were students at a nearby college in a bordering town. We had just finished a difficult round of exams and were ready to relax with a movie! The theatre at the time had a buy one get one free promotion with the films, so we were super excited. After finishing the first movie. We were super comfortable in our SUV gearing up to watch the 2nd feature on our bill, not before a few snacks. We were starving college students at the time and the thought of the fries at the snack bar seemed too good to pass up. Two of my girlfriends, (There were 4 of us) headed over to the snack bar that located on the lot. We sent them with an order list that was sky high. There was a wait on the fries, which we of course didn't mind. It felt good supporting a local business. As my friends came out of the snack bar attempting to juggle our large order. My friend, after 2 wrong turns (it's really dark at night) pulled up to the snack bar to load up our food. Before my friends could reach the vehicle an employee, approached our car. After shining his flashlight into our vehicle he demanded to see our reciept. I was surprised but instinctively began rummaging through the glove compartment to look for our receipt, as the employee called the manager over. We asked if there was an issue. They were accusing us of trying to see a second movie that was not on our bill...As our friends arrived with our food we tried to explain that we were just trying to make it easier on them by driving closer to the snack bar so they wouldn't have to carry all the items to our lot. After having had support this company with our dollars on several occasions, they told us to leave. We were stunned. I was astonished. We asked for a refund, to which they refused and threatened to call the police. Morale amongst my friends was low, to say the least..but I wanted to stay and wait for the police. We had done nothing wrong. When the police arrived we explained the dilemma, it was humiliating. We were probably the only group of BLACK women on that entire lot that night and police were surrounding our vehicle. The police reiterated that the manager wanted me and my girls off the lot and we'd have to dispute a refund at a later date. I couldn't believe what was happening. I refused to believe we were being singled out, because of our race as I watched other vehicles driving up to the concession..but it become utterly clear. The manager told us he "didn't want our kind" there. We never spoke of the incident again. It's been years and I hope the practices at this establishment have changed. I'm even hopeful that Lockport has gotten more colorful. It is 2020 and discrimination has ZERO place in...

Well... since it was one of the first places to open after being confined to our homes for the past 3 months, I'm sure you can imagine how quickly every night sold out! It was insane....I was unsure of how things would be, would it seem just like normal, would it be chaotic, would it be unorganized, unsafe, were they really prepared for this? I was skeptical... but just like the rest of the world, I was eager to get out and do something, especially something the whole family could go do together! I couldn't have been more impressed! Tickets had to be purchased online before going and when we got there they scanned the ticket barcode from my phone (so no transferring of germs through money, credit cards, paper, e.t.c) We were shown an area to park in and got all set up with the kids in the back, it was perfect. We had a little trouble getting the tiny light on the trunk to turn off, which we had open (in our Chevy Traverse) so the kids could all lay down and watch from the back.... it took about 5 seconds and a staff member was right there on his Segway getting the light turned off for us, didn't even want us getting out of the car to help, he was amazing... they only showed one movie per night on each screen (to keep trips to the restroom and snack bar to a minimum) we didn't use either, but I believe they had a line outside if you wanted to go to the snack bar, only a limited number of people were allowed inside at the same time and if you had to use the restroom, only 1 person in there at a time and it was cleaned after each use... luckily, I only live 5 minutes away so we didn't need to use the restroom at all but those were the "rules" I had read on the website before going. I was extremely impressed with how well prepared they were, if I hadn't known, it would have seemed like a normal night at the drive- in! Kudos to Transit Drive- In for making the "new normal" feel just like the "old normal" but...
