Machias Outdoors — Local services in Town of Machias

Wow!! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. First of all, I am the LAST person in the world to be cool enough or knowledgeable enough to ever walk through a store like this. My idea of shopping and vacation is Sephora and the big city! However, I was blessed with a 10 year old son who loves to fish! We were on vacation and spent several days at Lime Lake. We went to the store a total of 3 times in 2 days. The staff spent significant (!!) time with us, helping us select the proper equipment (without breaking the bank, knowing we were flying home and would not be able to take anything with us). They engaged my son in some serious fish tales, took time to hear his passions, and paired bait with his goals. The entire time, I was completely out of my element, but so thankful for experts who could meet the needs of my kiddo. Never once did I feel ridiculous (for knowing nothing!), nor did i feel taken advantage of. I am a forever top fan of this store. Their “why” of pairing great materials with big outdoor dreams was evident in every interaction we had. Honestly, I would return to Lime Lake again...

Mike is really committed to seeing that his customers are as successful as they can be in their endeavors - in my case, archery. Mike has given me tips and pointers and I know I'm much more confident than ever! Tara and Kevin are always ready with a smile and quick service as well.

And that's not to mention the wide selection of bows, firearms, and hunting and fishing gear! It's a fantastic place to shop - and it's right in downtown Machias! How cool is it that I don't have to drive into the suburbs for my outdoors needs!

So was forced to buy the bow I wanted from another shop in Springville because they were only one who had it on stock(wanted to buy at machias but didn't have bowtech now I wanted) after checking with Mike from machias. After taking home and shooting I immediately new was never tuned or checked.cams were off. Timing was off wt!. They just wanted a sale.so back to Mike to fix there work. 1 hour later ready and punching holes!when are the big bow markets going to realize he's legit! As always awesome !!!customer...
