My experience with them is that on two occasions the past two years I was quoted the wrong price based . ( Of course it was higher.) on there website. Thankfully, I caught it and corrected the gentleman who spoke to me. Also, the last two years they under delivered the amount of firewood that I purchased. I know this because I have two 4 x 8 racks which lets me know how much they’re delivering as two fireplace cord should overfill those racks and they didn’t so I had to call them back and get them to redeliver the correct amount. The wood itself is Goodwood Burns well, However, I would be careful about how much she quotes you and how much they actually deliver. They do charge more than others but again I’m willing to spend that due to the quality. But if I’m going to pay the premium price, then I want what I actually ordered and only pay what is on...
Read moreThis place is a total scam. They advertise "fill your trunk with mixed hardwood for $25". Well, when you get there, they tell you $25 is for pine, the mixed hardwood is $35. What???? False advertising. And their "fill your trunk" is a maybe 2 foot by 2 foot bin. It would take 2-3 of those to fill my trunk. Next, let's talk about their bogus firewood measurements. They advertise a "fireplace cord". In New York State, you are required to use certain measurement terms...fireplace cord is not one of them. They make it sound like a cord of wood, but it is roughly a face cord. Way overpriced! Do yourself a favor and do not go...
Read moreTotal rip off.... these hucksters sell "fireplace" cords so when I ordered a 1/2 cord for $190, I got what looked like way less than an even a face cord. I said something before the guy unloaded it and he said that it always looks like less when it is stacked in a truck. The fact that he had 3 deliveries neatly stacked in the back of his truck should have been the tip off. I was stupid! It took me 10 minutes to stack. See attached picture....just paid $190 for a pile that measures 2' high by barely 8' long. I could have done better dealing with Stewart’s and would not have had to deal with...
