If I could give this a no star review I would. The place itself is cramped and loaded with so many fragile things that you must use extreme caution when you want to actually pick something up to look at it for fear of everything braking.
I went to look at a candlestick holder that had a candle on it and the candle fell of and hit the counter. Luckily nothing broke ! However this older man came over ,glared at me ,and asked if he can help me ... I was already on my knees picking up little ornaments that thankfully didn't brake and I told him what had happened as I was cleaning up and said to him that nothing had broken. He didn't say anything and started to clean up with me and I said once more that nothing broke. He kept cleaning and said in a very ignorant tone "I've been doing this for 30 years , somethings always broken."!!!!!
My friend and I couldn't believe how rude he was. It was the worst display of customer service that I have ever been a part of or witnessed. I was so upset that I told him that he just lost a 200 dollar sale and that I would be letting people know via social media about my experience. He never apologized , he never even cared if I spent money in there. I suppose he figures people will just always come and spend money in this shop because it's been there.. He had many opportunities-to make this right and instead he choose to hide in the back room until I left.
If your so miserable and have been doing this for 30 years. Maybe it's time to hang it up and be happy. That way your customers won't feel attacked by...
Read moreI am not really sure what to say about this place. I have come across one or two "year round" Christmas stores in my travels, and have always found them a little odd. It just feels wrong to be walking through Yuletide decor in July. Yet, at the same time that is the charm of stores like this: the seasonal juxtaposition is sometimes off, and that is oddly fun.
The Christmas Chalet in Minocqua, WI is quaint and charming. They have all kinds of Christmas decor covering the entire spectrum from kitschy to classy. Everything you can imagine a Christmas store having, they have. The also sell items for other holidays, depending on the time of year. We went in late September, and they had quite a bit of Halloween stuff out.
My seven year old daughter absolutely loved it. Kids love to think about Christmas, no matter what the...
Read moreAbsolutely and utterly denied my wife and her Service Dog entry because he had his own dogs there and they would just bark. My wife has a medical alert service dog and he denied entry. DO NOT PATRONIZE this business. He’s willing to break the law because he has his own dogs in the store. What a terrible experience. He never asked for details (she must be accompanied by her TRAINED service dog), and met her at the door and completely denied her entry. After reading poor reviews of this business and owner, it's obvious to me that he doesn't care about the customer and would rather utterly break the law. We have filed an official complaint with the ADA as the actions of this man are completely and...
