I'm not going to lie, I really wish my experience here worked out better I really wanted a reliable shop. I dropped my tractor of in mid March when my appointment was for April 4th. I spoke with the service manager and he said if I dropped it off earlier they might be able to get it in faster as I needed work done to the shifting fork on my tractor. He said no way would it be more then $3000.00. and I had a bracket broken I wanted looked at to see if it could be fixed. well I was really starting to get nervous In May when I had not heard back at all but didn't want to seem pushy either so Mid May I called to check on it and was told they lost the paperwork and had no idea who the tractor belonged to or what was wrong with it so they had not touched it. Strike 1 for me. After we got that squared away they told me the entire service department had quit and everyone was new. I really should have just picked my tractor up at this point and found someone else but I'm a gluten for punishment. So they did manage to get it in fairly quickly at this point and couldn't get it to pop out of gear but I told them it was an intermittent problem, they did some more research and confirmed what I thought was wrong with it was the issue and started to split the tractor to fix it. Once it was opened up they found out the parts were no longer made and discontinued and called me up to tell me this as communication had dramatically gotten better at this point. But the call was weird as they had no solution to the issue for me and I said should I look for used parts and could I get the part #'s? He then emailed me the numbers but said he had found some parts. Why wouldn't he have looked before reaching out? Anyways I said yes please order them as I didn't have any other options at this point and they said being used parts they wouldn't warranty anything they worked on and again I understand that but I requested the bad parts back. So now we are into early July and they said the work was completed and I asked about the bracket but he said they didn't have any one that could do that kind of work. I said I would be down the following week to pick it up and to let me know the total. Well apparently they charged me storage or something at this point because my bill was $6500.00. I asked for a printed invoice emailed to me and it had no labor hours used and pretty much just labor cost and cost of parts. When I went to pick up the tractor and questioned the break down of cost and a separate $1600 labor fee he then said that was for the bracket and when I went to look at it they tapped 2 holes and one wasn't even deep enough for the bolt they put in and was just finger tight and the other 2 holes they did nothing to so basically they charged me to kind of do a job And then also told me they " Lost my old parts" I had requested.I then asked to possibly take some money off my bill for the extensive amount of time they had my tractor as I had to rent one multiple times to do work as they had had mine so long and he said he had spoke with the owner already and there wasn't a chance and I would be paying full price. I plan to reach out the the attorney general just for hopes of possibly them saying something to java and hopefully no one else will ever experience this frustration again. I hope this helps anyone thinking about doing...
