New Haven Building Supplies — Local services in Town of New Haven

Deceitful business practice… I bought a used piece of equipment at New Haven Building Supplies (NHBS) and I was completely led to believe that it functioned, a little beat up and used but at least operational. I wasn’t able to turn it on to see it function while at NHBS so I had to rely on what I could see and the good word (or not so good) of the gentlemen I had emailed about it and the different gentleman I was talking to at the time of purchase. Both of which said it worked!!!!! Once I got it home and was able to turn it on it immediately made a very loud BANG, BANG, BANG noise so I shut it off as fast as possible. I promptly tried emailing gentlemen number one and he wouldn’t correspond with me so I proceeded to call gentlemen number two. Number two said I need to talk to the other guy about this and I’ll have him call you. After several days without a response I called NHBS again and once again I was told I’ll have him call you. After still not hearing back I called NHBS again and was given the other guys phone number. After calling and leaving messages SEVERAL times without any response my only option is to lick my wounds and move on. However I try and prevent anyone else from making the same mistake I did. DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH NEW HAVEN BUILDING SUPPLY!!!!!!! They will lie to your face and be jolly about it!
