So I am usually not one to complain and generally give A LOT of grace - I fully understand this is a race track but we’ve been racing at this track faithfully for over 10+ years and nothing has changed. I definitely think with all the time and money the racers put into this place that at some point you would think management would do better at compensating them and accommodating them. After all, without us and our money, this track would have gone out of business by now.
It would be so appreciated if management put more time into really running this place, listened to the complaints of people and did better so we would be more comfortable while we are there.
Here’s some issues I have witnessed EVERY YEAR we are there…I hope they can be rectified. Yes, the other option is don’t come but let’s face it! That’s why the track is there, because there is no other tracks around the area. But this shouldn’t be one of those things that because it’s the only option we just have to suck it up.
The bathrooms are still disgusting (photo attached of a new trailer they put in but don’t clean.) They are never clean. The mens bathroom by the lineup always has the door open and for whatever reason the men leave it open so when a women has to use the bathroom we see them peeing…maybe not managements issue but for anyone reading - we don’t want to see it! Close the door! Oh! And they smell like piss and shit! And not to mention some of the bathrooms have no gravel or anything to walk on so there’s just swamps of water. Does it take much to just lay down some more rock? These issues are every year! Why are we not even attempting to make this a hospitable place for family and drivers!! You run on our money!
On a few occasions, and today more specifically, we have been rained out, never able to race and no refund ever offered. Take your money, steal your time. Today in particular, June 1st, 2025 - we arrived at 8:30am to be ready for the first trial run at 9am. It had down poured the night before so the track was wet. Lebanon didn’t want to cancel so we waited until 1pm (4.5 hours) until we finally decided to leave. They were trying to dry the track for 4.5 hours!!! The manager should have canceled a long time ago or even put it on the website or something for drivers to see. It started raining on and off and they still kept trying to dry the track. When we asked about a refund (we spent $200 in fuel and over $100 to get in) they said there isn’t one because the manger hasn’t called it yet. Really!? We’ve been waiting for over 4 hours, drove over an hour, stayed in the rain to be told…sorry you came at your own discretion.
No I’m sorry - we came because we come every weekend. We checked the weather and did our due diligence and even called the track this morning to ask if they were opening and they said yes. Well if you knew you had that much rain to cancel your Saturday event, why wouldn’t you do the same for Sunday knowing the weather! It would have been nice if they mentioned on the phone that they were drying the track and would get a late start or even no start at all. I own and operate a business and I know how business works.
The manager just wanted to dry the track so he can still get his money. We all paid full price to in turn, if we could, race 1/8 mile instead of 1/4 mile. So we all pay full price to run half a track when we are used to running a full one. THIS WAS NOT A TEST AND TUNE or I wouldn't be upset! We all sat in dead silence for over 4 hours - no update or anything. The manager was so focused on drying the track for 4.5 hours rather than not wasting everyone’s time.
I really hope this venue does better or goes out of business if they can’t. Keep facilities clean! No one wants to be in filth, notify your regulars who support you and keep you running. They are not refunded for the gas or the food or their time. One hand washes the other. It took me over 10 years to finally speak up - 10 years!!!
Oh but hey! At least our money is being used for new signs and over priced...
Read moreThis was our 1st time going to an event here, I had called ahead of time before driving over an hour with a toddler and infant to see if the Monster Jam Event on a Tuesday evening was kid friendly. The staff were very helpful and did recommend bringing ear protection which I already had planned on doing. The weather was perfect for young ones and we went into the pit to see the trucks up close. Everyone we met was AWESOME.... they were so patient and kind and very accommodating! My only concern that really spoiled the fun was the fact we just could not escape the smell of cigarette smoke. We were in our seats and the smell of cigarette smoke was just overbearing. We had got up to stretch our legs and walk a bit since sitting still in one spot for hours can be a bit too long for a 3 yr old. I wanted to go purchase a monster truck toy and use the ladies room but the cigarette smoke just walking down the main strip where the concession vendors were behind the bleachers, was just unbearable! I just cant understand how this is a “family friendly” event? I was just so disappointed bc my son has been reading books about monster trucks and is just in awe... inside events like these would be waaaayyy to loud even with ear protection for them. The amount of exposure that the littles are exposed to of 2nd hand cigarette smoke at this event was enough to not return. The later the evening got, the more alcohol consumed by spectators made the atmosphere less family oriented, the stench of smoke increased significantly and we ended up having to leave before my son even got to really see the monster trucks in action due to the amount/strength of smoke and just oblivious people around us standing there next to us puffing away on there cigarets.... while I hold my 4 month old and my 3 yr old. 😡🙄😒 Sorry, but Im not sorry that I choose to be the “debbie downer” of the group to say this is not an environment I would come back to due to that issue alone. My son was so excited and its too bad that smoking on the premisses is allowed still when it is affecting Innocent children who just want to see a monster truck show with out exposure to 2nd...
Read moreExtremely frustrating experience. Went for my first Eve of Destruction tonight. They have the music on so loud prior to the race, you have to scream to the person next to you. Which made it extra difficult to find our seats with the unclear or nonexistent section labels. Then you learn that the vendors ONLY ACCEPT 1$ BILLS. So you have to go wait in line at their ONE Change station in order to wait in line at a vendor. My wife missed an entire race and a stunt just trying to get an order of french fries. The races themselves were mostly just watching caution laps. In the first race, someone took out a staged trailer which cancelled one of the stunts. The second stunt stopped 3 times because the car wouldn't cooperate and then limply failed its objective. Then the event was called due to weather(which you obviously can't blame the venue for) and they expect me to come back tomorrow for the remainder of events despite the forecast being even worse. When it came time to leave, despite being parked 7 cars away from the exit, it still took us over 20 minutes to get out of the lot. Just an utter mess of bungling and needless...
