Gui's Lumber — Local services in Town of North Collins

Very disgusted at this store. I went there last Thursday with two $50 gift cards to spend. I wandered around the store for an hour and found $106 worth of items. At the register the clerk informed me that the gift cards were declined. I assured her there was $50 on each of them. She called over a supervisor who tried the exact same thing..and again, denied. The supervisor informed me that there was nothing she could do and I would need to pay for my items with another payment method. I informed them that the cards are good and all they need to do is call the number on the back. They refused. I left. I called the store on Friday to speak to the owner. Apparently he was unavailable. I spoke with and employee named Joe who apologized and said the staff didn't do something correctly(obviously), claimed their I.T. guy has been on vacation(How is that my problem?) and had he been there he would have known what to do(Again, why am I taking the punishment for this owners employees not being trained correctly). Joe did inform me that he would have the owner call me back ASAP so we can rectify the situation. It is the following Tuesday and I still have heard nothing from the owner. These guys are the Best! They will go above and beyond to help you as a good neighbor would. Most times, the employees will walk you to any item to help find it. (Cause I'm blind in most stores;).
