Absolutely breathtaking in the fall! We took the gondola ride up Little Whiteface and were blown away by the views—rolling mountains covered in brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows as far as the eye could see. It felt like standing above a painted forest.
The ride up is smooth and peaceful, and once you’re at the top, you get panoramic views of Lake Placid, the High Peaks, and beyond. The crisp autumn air and vibrant colors made it unforgettable.

Looking at the Whitface Mountain nearby gives you an idea of the sheer crazyness that skying from its top on almost vertical slopes is.    Read moreOnly been there in the summer (July) and it was a nice place, the gondola ride up was nice about 15 minutes up and 15 down and there is a nice lookout and a couple trails up at the top so I would say it’s worth it. You can go to the whiteface mountain site to find exact ticket prices and the like, also the top where you get of the gondola is the start of a couple really gnarly mtb trails in the summer and some double black diamonds...
