Grandview Mini Golf — Local services in Town of Northampton

We have always loved this place, but this year we were disappointed. The welcome we received was cold at best, and the lady in the booth seemed annoyed and didn't want to be bothered. The price has increased from 5$ to 8$ (understandable as most things have), but paying an extra 2$ for a ball deposit is a bit over the top. We have played many courses, and this is the only course that requires an upfront deposit of 2$ per ball. It is refundable at the end, but I would suggest maybe installing an 18th hole where the ball immediately returns to the club house, so your customers aren't burdened by waiting in line to turn in the ball and get the deposit back. We also had to ask for a score card when we started as it was not offered, and when turning in our golf balls to get our deposit back, my youngest forget to turn in the pencil. We were going to be denied a refund as a 7 year old had put the pencil in his pocket (we returned the pencil as it was an accidental oversight, not a blatant pencil theft at the hands of an 7 year old). All of the above took away from the joy that we used to have when visiting this course. No upgrades have been made, yet the price increased and the service decreased. No thanks. We had a terrific day playing golf and some arcade games. Wonderful set up of an 18 hole mini golf course. We played one round before lunch and were able to return after lunch and play a second round. I absolutely love coming here. They have a lot to offer including a miniature golf course (obviously), an arcade, and a little snack bar. The golf course offers a fun family challenge.
