Had such a blast! The announcer was so lively and fantastic! He knew every driver and their story and where they were from with out any cheat sheet in hand! Neat cars of so many different types. So AWESOME! Be sure to bring your soft seat cushion and a blanket for later in the evening when it starts to cool down. As you can probably see in my writing and excitement, it was our first time there and we loved it. We were also just very surprised that the entrance fee was cash only. Thank goodness they let us in to use the mobile ATM. Also..hot dogs and hamburgers were great and loved the grilled onions in the crock pot for you to serve yourself! Mmmm. Cant say the same about the popcorn. Bland and greasy. But lots of other great items and full bar to choose from. We had a blast. Definitely looking forward to going again. Parents, this is also kid friendly, but that doesn't mean that everyone else sitting around needs to watch you try to discipline your children as they are running up and down the bleachers or climbing the safety fence as you are drinking and spilling your bear. Basically if they can't behave or you can not control them, then have a seat over on the grass or don't come at all. Most race fans go there to see the race, not you. Other then that...
Read moreThis is a great, and affordable place to spend an evening watching the races. It is a very "Family Friendly" venue. Seating is close to the track and offers a great view. There is food and beverages available. Smoking is allowed out of the main seating area, but still within the fenced area. I watched the "Bubble Races" where cars race forward, backward, chained together and towing trailers all on a soaped down slippery track. This is one of the craziest nights you will ever spend at a speedway! A shout out to all the daring men and women driving those vehicles! You've got ice in your veins! The down time between races is minimal and the action and announcers commentary will keep you entertained and interested. The only seating is bleachers, so bring a pad, or bleacher seat for additional comfort. The standard price for admission was $20 for this event with discounts for seniors, children and military veterans. I can't say enough how much fun this was. I definatly will go back to take in some more good ol' American...
Read moreBefore moving to Oklahoma in 2016. I had gone to Jefferson Speedway almost everyweek during race season since 2003. This was my favorite track to come to in Wisconsin, whether I was racing in the track attack or working in the pits with my uncle's race cars, or even in the stands just watching. It was always fun to come to this race track! It's not called "Wisconsin's Action Track" for nothing. Some of the best racers in Wisconsin race here, with names like Casey Johnson, Jason Erickson, and Dale Nottestad, being a few. Last time I was there they had 6 divisions racing on a typical Saturday night. Even with that many divisions and the races starting at 7pm, they still managed to get done at a reasonable amount of time. If I had to choose a track to see racing at and I only had money for one night of racing. I'd without a doubt choose...
