Oconto Electric Co-Op — Local services in Town of Oconto Falls

Overall expensive. I pay pretty month for electric what I paid in my old house for electric and gas combined. They are an obsolete "co op" that needs to be disbanded. They literally buy electricity, resell it and upcharge the customers. These complaints of facilities charges are legit, usually total nearly the same as my electrical cost. I also would recommend checking your move to make sure you are not in an OEC service area before considering where to buy or build. Down right ruthless company!! Treats customers with zero dignity, compassion or respect! Do not expect them to be helpful or make any attempt to work with you under special conditions. Absolutely heartless! They realize and take full advantage of the fact that you NEED electricity. I would avoid moving to the OEC service area at all costs, simply because of this service. WPS on the other hand, is a fantastic company to deal with....

Most electric providers pay for a certain footage when running electricity to a home. Mainidue to the fact you'll pay off the labor as a permanently established customer. Nope, not OEC, you pay for every penny. $150 for a consult so they can "double-check" the footage needed.
