I was in the market for a new tv. Hadn't really kept up with the technology and the myriad of options available. Did a bit of Google research and then gave Leader TV Sales and Service a call.
Right from the start Kevin was both informative and patient with this technologically challenged neophyte. In fact, Kevin spent over an hour on the phone helping me to understand which options he thought were best and why.
At no time during our marathon phone call did he push to sell me anything. In fact, as far as he knew I might not purchase from him at all.
I did end up purchasing a new tv and sound system from Kevin several days after our initial phone conversation.
The next week he and his brother Mark were at my door ready to begin installation.
They were very professional and clearly knew what they were doing. Once again, patient with me as I asked questions about this and that. To make a long story short, I have a beautiful new 77" LG tv with an amazing sound system. Kevin explained everything I needed to know to familiarize me with and utilize the system. I never felt that any question I had was silly (although some were). Additionally they went well above doing what they had to do by helping me out with a totally unrelated issue.

Read moreAbout 1 month ago when my SAMSUNG LED TV abruptly died one evening and the 1 year factory warranty 9 months expired I researched Rochester-based home electronics repair shops and found Leader TV. Kevin and his technical staff went through the necessary iterative electronics board diagnostics and replacement to determine that the TV video panel had failed. The cost to replace the panel would have approached what I had paid for the TV brand new 21 months ago. Per Kevin's recommendation I called SAMSUNG executive customer relations to sternly express my disappointment that my investment in their product had been so short lived. SAMSUNG agreed to pay for the TV panel part costs while I picked up the labor costs. My out-of-pocket expense amounted to significantly less than what I would have had to pay Leader TV to repair the unit or buy something with equivalent features brand new. My experience with Leader TV was very positive and I would recommend them to friends and family. Note to SAMSUNG TV owners: Leader TV is an official, authorized SAMSUNG dealer. Beware of SAMSUNG attempting to steer your repair work (whether warranty or not) to a Buffalo-based business called Lifetime Service Center. Read moreFrom start to finish Kevin and his team took care of my issue. I have a 70 inch LG TV that LED lights went bad. I took the unit to the other local repair shop in Rochester and wasted $70 for them to tell me the TV was too big for them to repair.
When I called Leader and they diagnosed the TV Kevin told me they never repaired a 70 inch but were up for the challenge. I had nothing to lose so they went ahead and began repairs/ troubleshooting.
They did all they could to get the LED strips working to no avail. They contacted LG and got the closet replacement part they could. Let's all be honest and understand planned obsolescence. The manufacturers want us to go and buy the latest and greatest. If they wanted it to last believe me, they have the ability to do so.
