I came here with my two sisters and my neice yesterday. In the beginning We were having such a good time it was her first time picking apples and we wanted her to have a bunch of memories that she probably wouldn't remember. We went into the gift shop before heading to the trees. With a one year old we were being stared down the entire time, we brushed it off and continued to pick our apples. We made plans to get baked goods before we took off so we went back in and again we were being watched. We asked if the apples were by pound and she said yes. So we put the other bags we had down because we only needed one the others were barely filled due to just wanting to give our neice the experience. We had no issue with paying for the extra apples we did pick them. An employee came out yelling at us that we had to pay for them. We tired to be calm to ask if we "had to" and he had a weird smirk even though his tone didn't change. I had to get my neice together before paying. I don't understand the reason for being rude without the obvious reason. 3 black girls together. Hate to make this review but it really took away from the experience I was trying to give my niece. I don't know if you guys didn't think we could pay but we did even though you were rude. We brought 3 bags of apples and tones of baked goods & kept our...
Read moreAfter years of going here we will no longer be returning to this location. Mother’s Day in the cafe was ridiculous. We waited almost twenty minutes in line just to order when people at the bar were just looking at the people in front of them. There was then a line that backed up behind us, and not to mention they got the order completely wrong. My son wanted a an egg sandwich and we asked for home fried with all of them and he got scrambled eggs and he doesn’t even like scrambled eggs. Very disappointed in the service, I should have just cooked breakfast at home. We then went into the store to grab some asparagus and eggs and the elderly gentlemen with glasses was incredibly rude. I asked him a question and he completely ignored me and continued talking to my husband. Last time I checked women are not second class citizens and he’s too old fashioned to be dealing with customers. I had a few other women that I have spoke with in my town that have gone there and also mentioned he’s very rude. This is a shame since I have done all of my strawberry picking and apple picking there. Now I will find...
Read moreI really hope everyone can take a moment to consider these words about my experience at this business. I don't know the owner's name, but he has anger issues that my family members did not like, and we perceived him as ill-mannered. We saw a dog walk straight to our car and the owner was there with his other dog. In the past, my sister had a big dog phobia after being attacked by two dogs of similar sizes. My sister waited patiently for the dog to leave as she is a respectful and considerate woman. We asked the owner if that was his dog and he started to get heated up and shout at us which confirmed his inability to converse properly. He proceeded to be hostile and irritated and raised his voice and babbled about us and we genuinely were terrified of his behavior. We are not the first to have to deal with his issues towards customers that he is trying to make money from while lacking a professional and considerate attitude. Newsflash, if you want people to buy things from you do not scream at them or make them uncomfortable when they...
