I called Larry because bathroom power outlets went out. He talked me into installing new duplex outlets (he had in his truck and charged a premium for). He installed 4 and billed for 5 - I called and told him when I realized and was NEVER reimbursed though he had said he would. He brought a trainee assistant to install a duplex outlet (which I also requested) for the existing sump pump using existing circuitry. That assistant took a very long time sweeping up sawdust after he was done while Larry chatted and chatted, and never entered the basement to check that work. Larry then billed as though they were both doing electrical work the entire time, at bill rates for a Master Electrician for both. He never gave an estimate. When the new outlets didn't work, he ran to the garage to push the red button to reset the outlet there... this was the entire reason the bathroom outlets didn't work in the first place and new outlets were never needed. My apartment had a small electrical fire when an breaker didn't trip. The owner came out on a saturday to help us. He checked the breakers, all of the appliances, and all of the outlets to make sure everything was in working order. I called Larry about our above ground pool pump. The pump had a pinched wire and would not start up. The weekend heat was coming up quickly, so I called Larry.
