I mean I've been going here since when there used to be a rope you climbed down to get the the bottom (my dad would have me on his shoulders)! Crazy right. But even with the changed and them cracking down on safety it is still gorgeous and a class8c. It sucks that teens go there and use it to party though. The walk down to the bottom is steep and and times slippery but manageable for someone whose hiked befofe. I went down it 8 months pregnant and again with kids. The top is very easy to get to. The mosquitos out that way are horrible so bring bug spray if you hate...

A good many of us did...Martha,Jan,Linda,Nancy...you know who you are! These are spectacular in summer as well as if & when they would freeze in winter. Be sure to make a trip to Sandy Pond Beach...the sand being so round that it is prohibited to mine.I am now 64 & left in early 30s...but I'm finally...on my way home!
