Dollar General — Local services in Town of Osceola

Watch what you’re paying for. They have an advertised sale on Christmas decorations, candles and gift wrapping and bags. Candles claim to be buy one get one free, gift bags are buy 2 get one free. Spent forever picking out the things I needed, waited in the long line with one poor worker there all by herself, get up to the checkout and I was only given the sale price on some of the things they claim were on sale and I said something and she tried to make it right but could only do so much and the line behind me was long and everyone looked annoyed. I made sure to get my receipt and I will be making sure Corp makes this right. It’s not bad enough you over work and under pay your staff (if they can even find staff half the time) but now they’ve added screwing over the customers to that list. I just came across a bunch of articles about dollar general having a serious problem with this. Maybe stop building stores constantly that you can’t even keep workers at and think about getting your crap together? You love to come to small towns, over charge and I guess you aren’t business savvy enough to realize word gets around small town faster than you can screw your customers over. I like dollar stores but this is not really a true dollar store more a discount store. They always have unique merchandise and some great sales. Also, they stay open later than a lot of other stores so if you like to shop later it is a great place to be able to go or if you need something last minute. In addition, they are a FedEx drop off location for returns and other things like that. So you just go to one of their locations and they scan it in and your package is processed, you get a text message, simple as that. Often the only place to find items that noone else carries anymore. However, they usually become a seasonal item at family dollar and are now packaged differently than the original item you feel in love with. Ex. My favorite candy as a child was those white square nougat Brachs made. You could buy them at the grocery in the bins that you scooped yourself and bagged. Now all you ever find them is around Valentine's day and they are round and come in a bag. I want the big square pieces back, that was part of what made it so good!!!
