Farmer Browns Marketplace — Local services in Town of Owego

WOW!!! What a great experience!! I just stopped in to buy my girlfriend a plant. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by smiling faces. I asked where certain plants were. The employees everyone of them were more then happy to help. I also asked several questions about proper growing techniques for the different plants I was buying. The staff was Very knowledgeable. What a pleasant surprise. The variety of plants and shrubs and trees was Amazing. What an incredible selection for this area.Now here's the best part...I couldn't believe how inexpensive things were?!?. I have shopped at several places in the area, this was by far the most reasonable. So my advice. I set out on my annual post-Memorial Day quest with a list of what I wanted for my garden/landscape along with a list of my favorite nurseries/greenhouses. My first stop was FBM where I found everything I had hoped to (including one gem I had been looking for for two years), along with much inspiration and some new ideas. Staff went out of their way to help and answer my questions. Fair pricing was a pleasant surprise, as was a credit from last year! With no reason to pursue other sources, I hurried home to plant my treasures. I feel quite accomplished having everything in the ground earlier than prior years, thanks to FBM. In the past, My review of Farmer browns marketplace has always been quite high due to its wonderful selection and helpful staff. Unfortunately today my experience was not all that great, although they had a great variety of plants. The young adult staff seem unable to come assist in locating my last couple plants. I was there with an individual and a wheelchair, I don't mind pushing the chair and pulling the cart in order to get our flowers, but It would have been nice for one of the young adults working to actually help me locate these flowers instead of telling me to look for them in a specific place to no avail.
