Used to come here as a kid all the time with family. It's a long walk from the parking lot to the actual shoreline where you can set up your towel and umbrella, so you're gonna get some hot sand on your feet for a good 5 minutes or so. Plenty of showers, and plenty of waves. I could never keep upright on the boogie board, but it's fun if you ride it simply laying down on your stomach. Very good beach! Wear Sun lotion! ...maybe, they have odd ingredients (or the fidelity of the ingredients, that can not be explained on the front of the label). Perhaps just reapply it as you get wet? Since the water washes it off? Not sure, best of luck though. I remember the generation (my parents generation) from the 60's and 70's eventually got a significant amount of Skin Cancer when they aged. Could have just been a weak atmosphere from back then due to regulators at the wheel not being so sharp.
