I have been coming to Kelly's consistently every year for there are pumpkin chocolate chip bread since 1988 and every year since then the prices gone up steadily and the quality of the bread is declining. This year will be my last year going because Kelly's doesn't seem to care about the product that they put out as long as there's some kind of product out for sale. I bought a loaf of pumpkin chocolate chip bread and there was obviously burnt and when I brought it home it was crumbly and I couldn't get one slice to fake my life. This is how it's been for some time now everytime I go to the bakery there are flies flying all around the pies in the cases were all the specialty deserts are. It just doesn't seem like Kelly's cares anymore that they just want to pump out as much product as they can and make as much money as they can and it's obvious that the quality has gone down from exceptional to minimal. I hope everybody reads this review and will consider whether or not to go there again. There are many other firms out there and you can make your own chocolate chip pumpkin bread which I will do from now on. Grow up Kelly's fruit farm, your customer service and your product...
Read moreWent to this market a few times with my family over the years and I usually had an ok experience. I noticed last time I was here the baked goods are not covered and flies were sitting on the food. It turned me off and I didn’t order anything. The cider is good here and I try to buy some thing every time I come because I like to support local businesses and farms. Only thing is the counter experience when you go up to order, they are not always customer friendly or efficient. Today in particular I had a visit that I felt the need to write a review about. When I got up to order, an older lady with light short hair took out her frustrations with me that day. It was a very odd experience. She kept giving me a snappy rude response and cutting me off when ordering. The cashier was ok and she had to keep correcting everything that this lady did because she ended up giving us wrong items. This will be the last time I come here. There are plenty of local apple farms and bakeries in the area to patronize that value...
Read moreI think Kellys at its heart, is great. Wonderful apple cider, great bakery items, Honey, etc. However, the way they execute is horrible. I stood in a line with my wife and kids, only to feel rushed when I got to the counter. People who work there are flying around with pans and trays, trying to get donuts and cider to the next spot. I ordered the apple crumble with ice cream, for two. There wasn't enough ice cream, and she put it on too soon. I was still in line waiting to checkout as the ice cream melted. I felt rushed to make a decision on what and how many donuts I was buying, as well.
Lastly, they have bushels of apples in front of the store by the picnic tables that attract nothing but bees and flies. I understand the processing plant is right there, but you could move the bushels to the back of the building, or away from the tables.
I think the folks who work here need a reminder, that while the product you sell is wonderful, you are also selling an experience. My experience could have...
