This is a great place to take the kids! Outdoors they have corn mazes and a farm themed playground and activity center set up which was super cute and creative (there's an old tractor set up that they can go on and "drive" with slides coming down, hay bales to climb on, and water pumps that they can slide ducks down), not just your run of the mill park. Lots of different pumpkins of shapes, colors, breeds and sizes, some I didn't know existed! Indoors they have ice cream, learning activities, and a little merry go round that little ones can ride for a quarter. They also have lots of cheeses, jams, souvenirs and other assorted items for sale. The staff was very helpful and friendly, offering us a map of the place and answering questions. If you've never been and want to do the corn maze, you go into the store to get your wristbands, just an FYI because it's confusing on where to go if you park on the side like we did. The only improvement I could think of was maybe having a better fence in between the extra parking and the kids area..it's probably safe enough for most kids, but my son is a bit of a wild child/ daredevil, doesnt listen the greatest, is curioser than Alice, and fast AF and could've gotten in the parking lot if we hadn't had 3 adults chasing him. This is most likely a "me" problem, because Im raising him, but if you have a less active/less spoiled kid that listens (and doesn't take every split second opportunity to make a run for it to explore new territory), you...
Read moreSo we were hoping to see a tour and play outside and get to try out the petting zoo. Unfortunately, it was too late in the season for tours, and it had rained all morning before we got there, which left standing water EVERYWHERE on the outdoor play area. That being said, they told us we could let the kids play outside for a discounted price (how freaking sweet is that?) and that the petting zoo was free and open. It didn't go as planned, but we still had fun, and the shop itself has a little kid area with a livestream of the cows being milked you can watch. Also, there is an awesome selection of local items. I'd go back and recommend - but in nicer weather. They also had a lot of very good...
Read moreBest cheese curds in Stevens Point. I made the mistake of not reading the label on one of the bags of cheese curds, when I opened the bag, I quickly realized they were habaniro. It was a suprise. The cheese curds are squeeky.
The big cow and tractor in front of the store attract a lot of children to have their picture taken by them, a lot of future cheese curd eaters.
If you are around the Stevens Point area, Feltz dairy is worth the stop, it close to crossroads, only a few miles off the interstate. Easy to find. I would stop by Feltz dairy over the other cheese store near Exit 175...
