Ok place to watch a dirt track race. Watched the Craftsman Late Models (touring series) run @ Ransomville. Having been to a few dirt tracks... and an avid fan of racing.. below is a few observations: On track lighting... since they run their races at night... sufficient on track lighting is a must for the racers and the fans... simply put.. Ransomville needs better on track lighting. Scoreboard needs to moved. The scoreboard is located in turn 1.. most seats @ Ransomville cannot see the scoreboard easily... also current position of scoreboard has obstructed views due to the series of wires and poles in front of it. Scoreboard needs to be moved to the middle of turn 1 & 2. Grandstands.. the grandstands are totally sketchy... the wood is desperate need of replacement... Front straightaway dirt berm... watching a touring series (who don't regularly race there) it was interesting to see the drivers miscalculate the berm when coming out of turn 4... if Ransomville got rid of the berm.. and expanded the track out to the wall on the front straightaway you might see better passing coming...

Young and old folks gather there with the track providing special events that almost everyone can participate in. It had a great country, old American style atmosphere that everyone enjoys. I've been going there every Friday for the last five years. I've been to many tracks: Brewerton,Weedsport, Oswego, Fulton, and Waterloo tracks. But enjoy this...
Read moreAttended a Monster Trucks show @Ransomville's 1st x ever last night. It was a great show! Full house. Sold out. ♿ accessible for the most part in stands area, but couldn't access the track area from the stands to see the trucks with my kids. Their concessions stand was heavily overburdened (waited more than an 1.25 hours & still hadn't ordered) & the old wood bleachers need major improvement. Some seats were unusable bcz knees from the person in row behind were out over the bleacher below & some floor boards are ready to go. Not wide enough rows. Great venue...
