Bearpen Mountain Sports — Local services in Town of Prattsville

This place was a hidden gem! Book early and you will NOT regret. We were with a group of 11 and we all enjoyed ourselves at Bearpen. Snowtubing was organized, the fastest lines and a fun run. Everything is close together, so of you have older children you can watch them if they are in different directions. Some of our group did snow shoeing and were given brand new shoes to use for the day. The bikes were a little tough for my son, but once switched out for a better fit he enjoyed himself. Make sure to bring a snack and garbage bags to take with you. Their tables are perfect for outdoor picnic and the fore pits were lit the entire time for people to warm up. The staff was super friendly and mask wearing was enforced. We mostly loved that the little ones were allowed to sit on our laps for a ride down. Our favorite part was the family dog Sate (I think That was his name). He was on the ice skating rink, running up the hill while we were tubing down and enjoying the smell of the goodies we cooked. This place is a must see and MUCH better than Wyndham Adventure Park. I will ONLY stick to this place...

Where do I start? It was an emotional visit. My 12yr old, completed and amazing tube run then got soooo super sick ☹️. My California kids are NOT used to New York xtreme wearhers, My 4 year old had a fantastic run with his uncle!, then my 8yr old went, caught some wind and flew off the track, one employee tried to catch him but missed, two other employees headed him off just before he went into the woods!! Wow, how scary. But the staff was super nice and sweet. One of the owners Dominique offered me a refund on the tickets even when I told her we would try again. I said if you insist, we’ll take a credit for a future visit. Dominique went ahead and refunded us 3 tickets and comped our meals for whole group of 11 the rest of our stay. Wow! This place is the best. A family-run operation with heart. Awesome snow tubing — they take you to the top of the hill on tractors. There are s’mores available for a small fee to roast over their fires. They have limited capacity due to covid so make an online reservation. It is well worth it because you won’t have long lines like at other places. Our family had a great time and it was just the fun we needed after all these months...
